Our Yassa Chicken is a bold reinterpretation of the classic Senegalese dish — two tender chicken legs simmered in a rich, tangy onion-based sauce, infused with Dijon mustard, green olives, and slow-cooked carrots. At Chateau Rouge, we elevate the tradition with a refined blend of French finesse and Cameroonian spice, layering in depth and warmth with every bite. Served with fluffy white rice and plated simply to let the vibrant ingredients shine, this dish is both comforting and bold — a true expression of our Franco-African roots.

This was the cutest little spot with tasty authentic food. My favorites were the plantains, homemade juices and lamb skewers. Definitely spring for the pre fix menu so that you can try the wings and the dessert in addition to your main course. The interior design and the service were also great. The owner was giving our group of young men french lessons. If you enjoy trying new cuisine, add this one to your list!

Had a delicious & romantic date night at Chateau Rouge. We did the pre fixe menu and I would absolutely recommend for the value.- Don’t sleep on those plantains, some of the best I’ve ever had!- Ask for the mango hot sauce, so flavorful and homemade- The fondant dessert was amazing (as was the flambee).- The music selection was also such a vibe!My husband & I eat out a lot in Philly. We love trying new spots and this is easily in our top 3 favorite meals in the city. We will absolutely be back!

BYOBWe ordered the $55 menu with one appetizer, an entree, two sides and a dessert for each personThe sides and appetizers are a small portion but the entree are huge so it’s the perfect amount of foodMy favorite was the pasteles appetizer (tuna empanada) and the chicken with coconut sauce

The food was great and the service was excellent. I've never had Cameroonian food before but it was all delicious. Get the pre fixe so you can try it all. The menu is a little limited so if you are a very picky eater this might not be a great spot.The decor is cool and unique; for example, there are some really neat murals in the outdoor dining area. The owner is also super friendly and clearly proud of the restaurant.

Love this place and the location! The food is great, and the service is even better! Everyone is very kind and accommodating. I order the Haricot Sauté every time I go. Next visit I want to try the Carmelized Pineapple for dessert. What a presentation! 😍

We came across this place by accident while on a walk. The food smelled so good that we knew we had to try it and it did not disappoint.Not only was the food some of the freshest made food we have had, we also felt so welcomed and can feel the love that goes into the food.Their Suya Wings were phenomenal and cooked perfectly and you HAVE To try it with the tomato base sauce that comes with the wings.We travel a lot and love to try new places and this is 1000% on top of our list and plan to come back every time we are in the Philly area.Thank you so much for providing great food with great service ❤️

Had an amazing meal at Chateau Rouge! We ordered the suya wings, the tuna pastel, chicken suya, poisson grillé, haricots, misole, caramelized pineapple and chocolate cake. Every bite of food was delicious and exciting. The space is beautiful and has a vibrant energy about it, like you are at a chic party. Owner Jeanette is a warm and inviting presence, I really enjoyed getting to hear about her journey as a business woman in life sciences to becoming a restaurant owner. We will be regular customers!
